My Prayer for 2023

Dear God,

Let 2023 be the year that I fall madly in love with you.

Break down all of my resistances until there’s nothing left but an exhaustive surrender to your love.

Show me how to radically accept your grace, and in turn, how to become the kind of person who is radically gracious towards others.

Shatter my heart for what shatters yours.

Revive in me a newfound passion for partnering with You in helping restore what’s been broken and lost.

Give me eyes that marvel at the world’s beauty, and a heart to grieve the pain that goes on within it.

Create in me a rich reservoir of love that overflows to those you’ve placed in my life to minister to.

Show me how to love even deeper, stronger, and bolder than I knew was possible.

Ultimately, mold my heart and spirit to completely resemble that of Your own.

Let me not be afraid to wrestle with You,

Or to be transparently raw in our journey together.

Rather,

Let our wrestling push me even deeper into my discovery of understanding exactly who you are,

And through that,

Exactly whose I am.
